Conspiracy Theories

The word 'conspiracy' means more than one person is plotting some unscrupulous deed. The phrase 'conspiracy theory,' though, has become something of a joke in recent years. Conspiracy theorists are often seen as tinfoil hat-wearing nut-jobs by the mainstream. However, many popular conspiracy theories have eventually been proven to be true, or at least new details have been discovered so as to call into question the ""official"" story of a given event. So perhaps a better term for verified conspiracy theories should be conspiracy facts. Though most of these theories are unproven (and will likely remain unproven for some time), many researchers have dedicated their lives to discovering the truth, and we applaud them for their efforts. Conspiracy theories are often related clandestine government or political schemes, the suppression of secret technology and knowledge, and other supposed schemes behind the political, financial, and historical curtain. Things might not always be what they seem and there are always two sides to every story.

Recent discussions shown on this page about conspiracy theories are generated automatically. Topics unrelated to this specific category might occasionally be displayed.
