    Serious question.

I mean, honestly, how many times have we heard about North Korea testing nuclear weapons over the past 15 years? I remember George W. Bush saying North Korea was part of the "Axis of Evil" right after 9/11.

So, my question is fairly straightforward. What exactly makes this threat so extremely urgent all of a sudden? According to the article below, US Senators were told today that the nuclear situation is "very urgent"?

Yet I can't seem to find a single source that directly illustrates how and why North Korea has become such a ridiculously dangerous threat over such a seemingly short period of time.
