On this day in history, May 15, 1975...

Former Dallas, TX police officer Roger D. Craig committed suicide. Craig, who was on duty on the day of the JFK assassination, often publicly recounted several events from that day which would conflict with the "official story" as described by the Warren Commission. A recipient of the 1960 “Man of the Year” award for law enforcement, he began providing information to New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison in 1967, who had taken an interest in JFK conspiracy theories. Although Craig's death was ultimately ruled a suicide, he described at least three suspicious incidents--a bullet flying past his head, a car bomb, and a car accident--that all happened to him in the years prior to his apparent suicide.
